Water Lily – Nymphaeaceae

Water lily flower plants belong to the Nymphaeaceae family. These are one of the most exotic flower plants grown around ponds. They have a distinct graceful appearance, like most water lilies are possessed with waxy-coated round foliage on long stalks, usually floats on freshwater. And the fragrant flower emerges on these stalks and above the water surface. These flowers are in cuplike shapes with spiral arrangements of numbers of petals. And colour of these plants varies from pinks, yellow, reds, white and pastel orange. Water lily flower plants grow well in ponds and stream banks and even in shaded areas of rock outdoor gardens.
