Description
Travellers Palm (Ravenala Madagascariensis) are not exactly palm, but a crossover of banana tree and palm tree. They got their name due to its distinct property of collecting rainwater in its flower’s bracts which in-turn could be useful in case of any thirsty travellers for a drink! Native to the islands of Madagascar, Travellers Palm could grow up to the height of 9m to 18m, and displayed by its huge fan-like leaves and cream-white flowers that often appears year-round. They could be very easy to care for in landscape or in garden beds or in any outdoor gardening.
