Calathea Marantha

Calathea Maranta (Maranta leuconeura) – prayer plant is a popular tricolor plant that consists of deep green, velvety foliage with yellow splotches down to their midrib and arching red veins traveling to their leaf margins. At its fully matured state it will have 15.24 cm long leaves, risen from a short center stem and gradually draping down. Therefore, Calathea Maranta are much likely to catch the eye of many observers. They are also known as prayer plants due to the reason that they release an active scent component, Rosemarinic acid.
